In February, we spoke to two Ukrainian startups: andcards, an application that automates coworking administration, and Biobin, an application that rewards good environmental habits. Hrish Lotlikar, an angel investor and entrepreneur, shared his advice for investors and young startups.   • How much money goes to (food) waste daily? Biobin: an application that rewards good environmental habits. Like most startup founders, Artem has a full-time job to support his hobby. To fund and develop his ecology project, Myrhorodskiy works for a Ukrainian IT product company. BioBin was a very unique idea, which Artem developed long before the startup was founded. Having deep knowledge of IT, he and his colleagues decided to make the world a better place by investing in themselves and their own environmental habits. –read
  • Creating a startup without any outside investment. andcards: an application that automates the management of coworking spaces. andcards is a coworking space management software designed to increase workspace efficiency and improve members’ experience. The system offers tools for booking meeting rooms and desks, simple and direct communication, access control, billing, and other important tasks. The andcards team managed to achieve something incredible – building a product and a full-fledged company with almost no outside investment.  read
  • Hrish Lotlikar, founder, angel investor and citizen of the world, shares his advice for startup investors and Ukrainian founders. In 2009, after spending 8 years post-MBA in Investment Banking and Venture Capital in New York City, Hrish Lotlikar booked a flight to Eastern Europe and spent the next year travelling in Ukraine, Russia, and the Baltics. “Ukraine is my heart!   • Creatio, a Boston-based software company (with Ukrainian roots), announced that it has raised $68 million. Volition Capital, a growth-equity fund, led the round. –read
  • The startup accelerator Startup Wise Guys accepts applications for the SaaS startup program and invests from 55,000 euros in each team. Startups will have access to more than 250 mentors and investors. Deadline – March 8. –read
  • The Ukrainian Startup Fund held its 21st Pitch Day to select startups for government funding. read
  • Since the end of January, the Clubhouse app has become the hottest social application globally and has focused its growth on the Ukrainian and European markets. The first Ukrainian club at the Clubhouse – “Ukrainian House at the Clubhouse” was created by Vladislav Greziev, Kateryna Mykhalko, and Nick Belogorskiy. –read
