As some of you know, I serve on the advisory board of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce of Seattle. The Chamber, in partnership with the European Business Association, helped organize the 2016 Seattle Tech Days (expired link), bringing over to Seattle large Ukrainian IT companies such as GlobalLogic, Luxoft, Sigma, and Akvelon and connecting them with the local Seattle IT community. We were worried initially that August vacations would depress the attendance, but in the end we had a surge of registrations and a diverse crowd of about 150 showed up at the Westin Seattle on August 25th for a day of learning, connections and idea exchange. Local press, represented by the Puget Sound Business Journal, covered us on the topics of Ukraine offshoring and big data. Here are some pics from the event.
