Стадія зростання Growth Stage – це друга фаза життя стартапу, після початкової стадії Seed Stage. У цій стадії головним завданням стає масштабування продажів у сегменті користувачів, які були виявлені в Seed Stage та пошук нових сегментів користувачів.
Для залучення інвесторів стадія зростання – золотий час тому, що ризик Product-Market Fit в більшості вже усунений, а інвестори мають змогу оцінити потенційний розмір ринку та розрахувати витрати на пошук користувачів (Customer Acquisition) та їх прибутковість (Long Term Value of a Customer, LTVC). Зазвичай досвідчені інвестори допомагають з побудовою каналів збуту, пошуком нових співробітників для відділу продажів й маркетингу та пошуком компаній-партнерів.
В період стадії зростання на зміну ангел-інвесторам та маленьким VC фондам, що фінансують компанії ранньої стадії, приходять більші VC фонди. Вони мають достатньо фінансів, щоб інвестувати суми від $500K до $5M (іноді й усі $50M) для масштабування перевіреної бізнес-моделі.
