Medyka is a small village just across the border from Ukraine.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>There is also a railway station in Medyka, where trains from Ukraine arrive. There is a bunch of Polish teenaged kids and their teachers working day in day out on sorting and re-packing. Ukrainian children&#8217;s books. Plush toys are in good supply already plus they are bulky so parents don&#8217;t always accept them, although I gave away all of ours to very interested kids. Suitcases on rollers. People need to carry a lot of stuff. Make it easy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">3. Push strollers. Not many people had the space to take them. Bring some old ones to the border.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">4. Bedding and sheets and sleeping bags for the overnight shelter in Przemysl. People will stay there for the night while they figure out where to go, but clean sheets would be nice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What is CURRENTLY (February 27th) in a relatively ok supply:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; clothing and shoes were available in Medyka. People will need more, but please SORT them into boxes. A lot of volunteer time is spent on sorting the donations. Make it easy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; water and toilet paper was available at the border.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">PRO TIP: Sort your stuff into clothing\/bedding\/food\/medicine\/toiletries\/toys\/books. You will increase the chances it will be put to a good cause.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"font-size:28px\">Where can refugees stay overnight?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There is a Overnight Sleeping Center for Refugees at the Ukrainian Museum of Przemy\u015bl near the bridge over the San river.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ukrai\u0144skie Regionalne Muzeum \u201eStrywihor\u201d w Przemy\u015blu<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tadeusza Ko\u015bciuszki 5, 37-700 Przemy\u015bl, Poland<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"font-size:28px\">Where to send money donations?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>If you are not able to drive up to the border crossing, consider making a donation.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>1. Send money to the Polish volunteers in Przemysl.&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Honestly, I think this is the best use of your aid money right now if you want to help refugees. These guys and gals are amazing.
